We are making our way down the huge list of details. Today we cancelled our landline to save a little money--though the bill actually went up because we now only have cable service with Time Warner. Apparently, it costs more to have less these days. Not to mention it took quite awhile to get it done. The customer service rep kept coming back on the line to tell me she could give me a better price if I just kept the phone going. But I was strong, and wasted 20 minutes I'll never get back, repeating the mantra 'I just want to cancel our home phone.'
The Professor also wants me to cancel the cable! Not only will that call take me approximately 3 hours to complete, but I. Just. Need. A. Few. Weeks. To Wrap. My head. Around this. Outlandish idea. I'm just not ready to go back to the Dark Ages. No Good Morning America with my morning coffee or dinner with Alex Trebek? Sometimes I really need the validation that comes along with--albeit rare and far between--getting that Jeopardy question right.
I also just found out today that Japan does not have Netflix! What next? I was really hoping to catch up on movie watching over there while The Professor was out doing scholarly things. I'm going to have to bring a LOT more books. Or perhaps I'll take up Karate. I do like those pajamas they wear and I've decided that Origami is probably too dangerous--with all those possible papercuts and all.
